Occasionally, Johnny lets the nails stay on his fingers. Once Johnny shoots a fingernail, they take a short time to grow back. However, they do not possess the power to cut through metal. The nails have immense cutting power, capable of slicing through rock, cutting limbs clean off, or carving a tree into a humanoid shape in a matter of seconds. Johnny is able to make his fingernails, and later toenails, spin themselves at a high velocity and shoot them like bullets up to 10 meters. Tusk ACT1 grants Johnny the ability to imbue his nails with the Spin. Tusk ACT1 is overall quite weak and isn't sufficient to challenge most Stand users. It decides to appear to Johnny and independently help him.ĪCT1 occasionally produces the sound ' chumimi~in'.ĭespite having a corporeal form, Tusk's power functions as a supernatural ability that Johnny must use personally to fight like a gunman. Tusk ACT1 possesses sentience separate from Johnny, as it is the guardian of the Left Arm. Tusk ACT1 is primarily pink in all media featuring it. Eight wavering vestiges emanate from its head laterally: Two above four from its sides, the lower of which, at its cheeks, are also surrounded by a dark circle and one either side of its chin. On its head, it bears two long, mammalian ears small, reflective black eyes, under a brow of a troubled angle a large star at the top of its forehead, behind which a dark circle radiates to its points, and from the center of which a string links with the tip of a cone fastened to the region of its nose. Its posterior is marked somewhat irregularly by small stars, behind which dark circles radiate to their points while four tendrils droop from the base of its trunk to the approximate length of its leg, bearing heart shapes. Its head is of equal or slightly greater size than its body, and it floats with two short, vague, and inarticulate arms and one such leg.

Appearance ĪCT1 resembles a small, neotenous W animal. It is referred to as the guardian of the Left Arm of the Saint's Corpse. It’s still an above average stand, so I’m giving them together a perfect score.Initially named 'Tusk' as it was the first form that Johnny sees, Tusk ACT1 is the Stand's base form.

It isn’t a good transitory phase, and it doesn’t work as well as the other two. They all have their own wonderful personalities and charm, not to mention they make up some of the cutest stands in Jojo.My only problem is that Act 2 needed something more. Even if I was reviewing them separately, they would all get very high scores. It’s a distinct, fun design and a really enjoyable stand to watch. He’s one of those stands where I can’t quite say why I love it so much, but it’s just cool. I especially like how they connect to his boots. Act 3 has very interesting head and body shape, as well as some really nice clothes. He’s the most humanoid of all, but I really like him. It still has a ways to go.įinally, there’s there’s Act 3. It’s still cute as hell, but it’s a lot like those middle-stage Pokemon, which aren’t cool, but aren’t cute either. I love it’s squashed face and it’s tiny little hands. It’s also incredibly bizarre, with a strange mishmash of features and plates.I miss Act 1′s animal weirdness, but it still retains the tail, and Araki has stated it’s based on a racoon. Next up is Act 2, another very cute stand. In Jojoveller, Araki states it started as an alien larva, but became more of an insect, and I can definitely see it.

And it works surprisingly well with the organic elements like the nicely patterned tail or the budgie mouth. It looks nothing like anything that currently exists, but it looks like it could very well be something 8-year old me would love. It reminds me a large variety of plastic toys, from the little wheels to the thick helmet to those weird eye-things. Let’s start with Echoes’ first form, Act 1. Anyway, review under the cut, since this is long. It took me some time to decide whether I should make three posts for Echoes three forms, but I’m doing this.

Echoes stand
